When
- Sunday 25 May 2025 from 10:00 to 18:00 uur
Location
During the Molenfeesten, we put the centuries-old Leyssensmolen in the spotlight with a lively craft festival. More than 50 artisans will demonstrate their passion for their trade. In addition to craft demonstrations, there will be various nature-focused activities for all ages. Throughout the day, the Lommel millers will also be giving guided tours of the Leyssensmolen.
Young and old are welcome at the Molenfeesten to experience the rich heritage and enjoy the warm atmosphere.
More than 50 craftspeople
From letter carving and pottery to basket weaving and lace making, more than 50 passionate craftsmen will show you the passion for their craft. In addition, impressive main acts ensure a day full of spectacle. Admire the birds of prey show and sheep herding, discover the nostalgia of old tractors and enjoy performances by the Lichtaartse Kloppers and folk dance group Die Spelewei. As icing on the cake, there will be a purebred Lommel bellman to festively announce the programme.
Great children's entertainment
There is also plenty to do for the youngest visitors. With free activities such as sledging behind draft horses, clambering in straw castles, walking with donkeys and creative workshops around crafts and nature, they will not easily forget this day. Via an assignment card, they can collect stamps at different activities. Once it is full, a tasty reward awaits them!
Delicacies on site
To satisfy your hunger between the spectacle, there will be plenty of goodies. Taste pork on a spit, bacon sandwiches, Lommel meatballs, ice creams and milkshakes. Or opt for a freshly baked pancake made of flour milled on site.
