Swimming in the Sahara lakes is prohibited as it is too dangerous, but you can fully enjoy birdwatching through the bird wall. As you continue, look out for the wreck of the old sand dredger in the pond. Cormorants often perch on the wreck with their wings spread to dry their feathers.
Help protect this beautiful area. Respect nature and take your litter back home. The deep lakes are not swimming ponds. Swimming, bathing and boating are prohibited due to dangerous currents and unstable banks.
