Easy Parking in Lommel

Free Parking

Many parking spaces in and around the center are free:

  • CC De Adelberg (260 spaces)
  • Molenstraat (52 spaces)
  • Centrum (large Mudakkers parking lot) (170 spaces)
  • Frans van Hamstraat (50 spaces)
  • Stadhuis 2, Klachtloopstraat (85 spaces)

One Hour Free Parking

You can park for 1 hour for free with a ticket from the parking meter at the following locations:

  • Parking Stadhuis 1 (Hertog Janplein)
  • Parking Kerk (Michiel Jansplein)
  • Parking Mudakkers (the small parking lot at the beginning of Mudakkers)
  • A section of Kloosterstraat
  • A section of Rodekruisstraat

From the second hour, you pay €1.50/hour (between 9 am and 6 pm, not on Sundays and holidays). You can buy a ticket from the machines or via SMS. Payment is also possible through the parking app 4411.

Shop & Go

In and around Kerkstraat and Dorp, there is a Shop & Go zone. Here, you can park without a ticket for a maximum of 30 minutes from Monday to Saturday between 9 am and 6 pm. A sensor on the parking spaces registers when you arrive and leave.

Blue Zone

Here, you can park for a maximum of 2 hours for free with a valid parking disc, so you don't need a ticket from the machine. The streets where a blue zone applies are: Vreyshorring and surroundings (part of Don Boscostraat and Hezerpad), Koning Leopoldlaan (between the roundabout and gas station), Molsekiezel (between Klachtloopstraat and Gasstraat, and the connection to Hertog Janplein), Stationsstraat (between the roundabout and Hoevenstraat), and Ploegdries.

Parking Guidance

On the major access roads to Lommel, large screens help you find a parking spot. The signs show which is the nearest parking lot, whether it is paid or free, and how many spaces are still available.

People with Disabilities

People with disabilities can park for free on all parking lots in Lommel (except the parking spaces in and around Kerkstraat and Dorp, see above) with their card. Place the parking card at the front of the vehicle on the dashboard so that the wheelchair symbol is clearly visible.

In and around Kerkstraat and Dorp, 7 parking spaces are specifically provided for people with disabilities. These are marked with a sign. They can park for free on these spots without time limitation. On regular Shop & Go spots, parking for people with disabilities is also limited to a maximum of 30 minutes from Monday to Saturday between 9 am and 6 pm.
