What to expect

Kristalpark

This journey starts at Lommel Station. From here, we follow the Iron Rhine railway line to Kristalpark, a brand-new and ultra-modern industrial park spanning 1,337 hectares with views of 300,000 solar panels and dozens of wind turbines.

Leyssens Mill

We leave this immense solar park behind and cycle through expansive landscapes into Zandstraat. Here, we pass the Leyssens Mill, an 18th-century grain mill that is definitely worth a stop. Take a seat on the lawn or at the picnic tables around the mill for a cozy break, or extend your bike ride with a walk through Kattenbos. The Butterfly Walk is perfect for exploring Kattenbos on foot with children!

German War Cemetery

We continue our journey, passing the Ford Proving Ground test track and the German War Cemetery, the largest WWII cemetery in Western Europe. Take a moment to walk among the endless rows of graves, or stop for lunch at the nearby restaurant, where you can enjoy the famous Lommel meatballs.

Bosland National Park

Next, we cycle through the tall pine forests of Bosland National Park, a true natural paradise with 5,032 hectares of untouched nature spread across the municipalities of Hechtel-Eksel, Lommel, and Pelt. When you reach node 229, you can choose to cross the ring road for a terrace break at Domain De Grote Hoef, or cycle directly to the finish line by following node 265 back to Lommel Station.
