A geocaching adventure starts simply: someone hides a waterproof box or '(geo)cache' somewhere in nature and leaves the exact GPS coordinates on a website such as www.geocaching.com. This allows you to search on your own for the various caches in an area, while along the way you walk past beautiful places you might never discover on your own. Often there are little trinkets in the cache, which give geocaching the allure of a barter tour. You take something out and put something new back in, so that the content of the "treasure" is constantly changing.
