Heritage House the Barrier
In a beautiful historic building, the Barrier House, they keep extensive and varied collections from Lommel's past. They collect thousands of books and magazines, photographs and old postcards, archival records and documentation, newspapers and cards, obituaries and prayer cards.
The Colony Archaeological House
The archeohouse's core mission is to manage a real estate heritage repository. Here archaeological companies, amateur archaeologists, metal detectorists and building owners can house their archaeological collections and ensembles from the region of Bosland National Park. Architectural elements, only from Lommel, are also welcome. This can be both temporary and permanent and will always be done in consultation with the relevant authorities and in accordance with the applicable regulations and standards.
Besides managing and preserving the archaeological collections, Archeohuis De Kolonie stimulates their scientific research.
