    1. Christmas markets

    Enjoy the magic of Christmas at our Christmas markets. Here you will find unique and traditional Christmas gifts, enjoy delicious snacks and drinks, and immerse yourself in the Christmas atmosphere. Whether you are looking for a present or just want to enjoy yourself, you will find it all at the Lommel Christmas markets.

    2. Thousands of lights throughout Lommel.

    Would you like to be enchanted by thousands of lights all over town? You can! In December, sparkling lights, cozy candles and atmospheric Christmas lights burn throughout Lommel.

    3. Winter Happiness and shopping Sundays 

    From 1 December, the city centre turns into a cosy Christmas village for Winter Happiness. Stroll along the decorated shop windows through the atmospherically lit streets, listen to cheerful Christmas music while enjoying a hot waffle or mulled wine and shop the perfect Christmas present during our shopping Sundays. And who knows, you might even meet Santa and his elves!

    • Winter Happiness in the city centre: from Sunday 1 December to Tuesday 31 December.
    • Shopping Sundays in the city centre: Sundays 15, 22 and 29 December from 1.30pm to 5.30pm.
    • Shopping Sundays at the Singels: Sundays 15, 22 and 29 December from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

    4. Wishing at the wishing tree

    From 14 December, Lommel's Christmas tree will transform into a real Wishing Tree. Children from disadvantaged groups will hang a gift wish of 10 euros in the tree. Choose a wish from the Christmas tree, get the present from a local merchant, and make them smile on Christmas Eve. Will you give them a magical Christmas?

    • The wishing tree: Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 December from 10am to 6pm at the Veemarkt.

    5. New Year's fireworks

    Start 2025 with a bang! Come to Hertog Janplein on New Year's Eve and enjoy spectacular fireworks. Are you ready to count down?
