This renovated villa from 1898 was built by then Mayor François Van Ham. At the time, the villa was one of the few houses with upper floors. As of 2014, the Lommel city council wished to house a quality restaurant there. The salons have since been transformed into a luxury restaurant in Louis XVI style.
Wrought iron column
The artist duo Lucas Pellens and Stefan Custers created the sculpture "The victor and the vanquished," a 4-meter high wrought iron column, crowned with a bird, which measures up to its surroundings. The column stands to the left around the corner of the Mayor's House and is shrouded in atmospheric red light at night.
The Mayor's Park will be closed from mid-January 2025 to the end of May 2025 due to construction work. More information about the works can be found on the City of Lommel's website.
