Cycling through Pelt and Lommel’s highlights

Cycle through two municipalities rich in nature and heritage. This 43.7 km route connects Lommel and Pelt via the canal, expansive forests and the top spots of Bosland National Park.

What to expect

Start your ride at Brasserie De Groote Hoef and cycle towards the Bocholt-Herentals Canal. Soon you’ll enter the green heart of Bosland, enjoying the calm of the Hobos, the unique view at Fietsen door de Bomen, and the fragrant pine forests of the Pijnven. Along the way, you’ll also pass Kattenbos and the German War Cemetery, silent witnesses of history and nature side by side.
After the ride, relax at the terrace of Brasserie De Groote Hoef with a snack or drink. 

Need a break along the way? Stop at Kaffee Kongee (approx. 9 km – open in summer only), Bar Ganz (approx. 11 km – also open in summer only), Brasserie de Rally (approx. 12 km), ice cream parlour Het Winnerhof (approx. 23 km), Eetcafé De Lage Kempen (approx. 32 km) or Hof ten Vrede (approx. 38 km). For some of these establishments, you may need to make a short detour from the route.
