Teuten Market on Sundays

Looking for hidden treasures or one-of-a-kind finds? From April to October, the Teuten Market takes place every Sunday from 10.00 am to 4.30 pm on the Dorpsplein.

The market is named after the historic Teuten: travelling merchants and craftsmen who journeyed through the Kempen region centuries ago. What began as a market for curiosities and second-hand goods has grown into a much-loved Sunday tradition. Browse at your own pace among antiques, vintage items and unexpected bargains while enjoying the charming village square, surrounded by greenery and inviting cafés.

Please note: During the summer, the market will not take place on Sunday 9 August (triathlon) and Sunday 23 August (fair).

Classic cars, live music and summer vibes

Every Wednesday evening, dozens of beautifully maintained classic cars gather in the centre of Lommel. From 5.00 pm, admire gleaming vintage vehicles and timeless classics that attract enthusiasts from near and far.

Even if you're not a classic car enthusiast, there's plenty to enjoy. Live music, children's entertainment and a relaxed atmosphere make the gathering a perfect summer evening out for the whole family. Round off your visit with a drink on a terrace or dinner in one of the town centre's welcoming restaurants.

Be enchanted by the sound of the carillon

Throughout the summer months, Saint Peter Band Church provides the setting for a series of atmospheric carillon concerts.

Every Wednesday afternoon in July and August, the impressive bells fill the town centre with music. The programme ranges from classical music and folk songs to Flemish favourites, film scores and contemporary hits, making every concert a unique experience.

In July, the City of Lommel also organises several special evening concerts. Expect a varied programme featuring romance, passion, film music and timeless classical masterpieces. More information about the concerts is available at www.ccdeadelberg.be.

Tip! After each evening concert, you can climb the church tower and discover the carillon up close – a unique behind-the-scenes experience.

Discover the craft of the miller

If you'd like to experience Lommel's local heritage, be sure to visit the Leyssens Windmill.

During the open mill days, every Sunday in July and August from 1.00 pm to 5.00 pm, passionate millers welcome visitors and demonstrate the traditional milling process. Discover how grain is milled, learn how the windmill works and experience a centuries-old craft that is still very much alive today.
